Honeycut: Craft Cocktails, Dancing, and Music Downtown

New, 3 comments

Alex Day and David Kaplan of Proprietors LLC have partnered with Cedd Moses and Eric Needleman of 213 Ventures (The Varnish, Seven Grand) to, not surprisingly, infuse Downtown LA with yet another drinkery, Honeycut, manifesting next month behind the O Hotel where Day/Kaplan consulted a few years back. And, not entirely unlike Warwick, Honeycut will fuse a dance lounge with craft cocktail culture between two rooms and 3,000 square feet designed by LA-based Patry+Kline (Seven Grand). The Cocktail Bar, serving nightly from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., is going to mix up a whopping 50 craft cocktails co-created by Proprietors LLC beverage Director Devon Tarby (The Varnish). In this room one will find a billiard's table, piano and occasional live music. Meanwhile, the Disco room, open from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., will focus on bottled cocktails, cocktails on tap, plus wine and beer determined by GM Adam Weisblatt (O Hotel). Expect to find a dance floor and seating space which can transform into a stage for live performances.

Obviously in addition to the drink program, music is a focal point here and performers will be announced the day of their show via @HoneycutLA.
