Chef Walter el Nagar said he wanted to open a restaurant in Venice, but over the last year or so he has bounced his Barbershop experimental Italian pop-up around town. However, starting October 8, Barbershop will land on the turf he hopes to eventually call home, within popular brunch spot Axe on Abbot Kinney in Venice. Barbershop has the space for Monday and Tuesday nights only, from 6-11 p.m. through October. Patrons can make resys through the Barbershop website, though note a credit card is required to hold a seat for the eight course $95 prix fixe meal.
