800 Degrees' Serves, GCM Now Open at 8 a.m., More!

WESTWOOD— 800 Degrees To-Go is now serving, according to the Unemployed Eater, who compares the new panuozzo menu to a sort of Italian "baco," or calzone meets pita made from pizza dough. [UE]

DOWNTOWN— Grand Central Market, the slowly reforming food emporium, is now open starting at 8 a.m., anticipating the debut of Egg Slut in about a month's time. At the moment, Valerie Confections opens at 8 a.m., and G&B Coffee at 7 a.m.

LONG BEACH— Beachwood BBQ both here and at the original Seal Beach locations start their annual Sour Beer Best today, running until Sunday. There's even a shuttle that goes between the two bars. [DD]

DOWNTOWN— Ebanos Crossing, the newish drinking den on Hill and 2nd, officially launches with a grand opening party this Friday, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. There's a live performance by Anastasia McPherson, and tunes by DJ Johnny to go along with featured libations and complimentary bites like a fried chicken sandwich and bacon-wrapped shrimp skewers.
