26 Restaurant, founded by Natalie Sultan, is being taken over by chef Todd Aarons, who had previously helmed the kitchen at Tierra Sur, a kosher eatery in Oxnard's Herzog Wine Cellars. The re-concepted kosher meat-based restaurant plans to open within two weeks, pending the completion of construction and the hiring of staff, which is currently in motion according to a Craigslist ad. Sultan had opened 26 restaurant in 2006 with her husband and two daughters, but has now moved on to open Trattoria Natalie, which opened a half block down Pico in the former King Fu location, serving kosher dairy Italian cuisine.
