New Management at Bawarchi, Free Nachos at El Cholo

CULVER CITY— Sadly Bawarchi is under new management, which means that the grumpy old Indian chef is no longer involved. Apparently health concerns caused the original owner to retire. The menu has some slight adjustments as well, though the jury is out as to whether the food has changed [~ELA~]

KOREATOWN— El Cholo is celebrating its 90th anniversary with a complimentary order of its famous nachos for every table on October 6, all day and all night. The iconic dish was invented at El Cholo in 1959. [Eaterwire]

WEST LA— Tlapazola Grill, the Mexican restaurant on Gateway in West LA looks like it's closed. The 47 liquor license attached to the location had recently been surrendered. [Eaterwire]

CENTURY CITY— Noodle lovers can converge at Rock Sugar for Chef Mohan Ismail's noodle bowl menu on October 6. Priced at $10.50 each, options include chicken pho, flat rice noodles with vegetables, Chiang Mai curry noodles, Wok Fried mapo egg noodles. Testing of a new concept? Perhaps. [Eaterwire]
