Republique Debuting Oct, Katsuya's Free Sliders, More

LA BREA—Looks like Walter Manzke's Republique might be looking at a mid-October debut according to a tracking report by the LA Times. At this point, a wood-burning oven and a Tuscan rotisserie have been installed in the kitchen. The former Campanile space got a complete overhaul over the summer, with much of the architecture preserved and wood accents brought over from the Philippines. In the center is a communal dining table, with the back room deserved for dinner service. [LAT]

BEVERLY HILLS— The Grill on the Alley gets hyped up by Town & Country as one of the top power lunch spots around the country. Apparently anything that had been mentioned by Eater was disqualified. [T&C]
