Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

PALMS— The Doughroom, the popular neighborhood eatery, is now open on Mondays to accommodate local demand for Monday Night Football. Lunch service still starts at 11:30 a.m., ending at 2:30 p.m. while happy hour starts at 5 p.m.

HOLLYWOOD— Sadie recently announced a more clubby lineup of DJs and other nightlife programming for the expansive space. New details have emerged, like Stacked, which features DJs with known bartenders like Dominic Venegas (The NoMad, NYC) on September 10. Meanwhile, Sadie Sessions starts on Wednesday with live jazz and bossa nova.

CHINATOWN— Chego! and Kogi chef Roy Choi reflects on his talk at MAD3, "We also have to ask, are we making food fun enough for people? The food world has to let down its guard a little bit and stop being so fucking hoity-toity about shit." [~EN~]
