And here it is. Maude. Television personality and Australian chef Curtis Stone's 25-seat contribution to Beverly Hills, which takes form as an intimate restaurant named after his grandmother who taught him to cook. Slated to launch February 1 in the former site of Pici Enoteca, Maude will plate a nine course $75 seasonal Cali prix fixe menu dedicated to one ingredient each month. A wine pairing costs $55 more.
The eatery is indeed intimate as Stone had hoped, with an open chef's bar in the back and banquette seating along the right wall. Note mismatched chairs and faux weathered furniture for a sort of refined country farmhouse feel.
