Dough Pizzeria & Bar to The Sunset Strip in February

Frankie & Johnnie's corner office on Sunset Boulevard is going under the knife to become a more upscale operation around mid to late February. Dough Pizzeria & Bar will continue the pizza-by-the-slice tradition, but also add house-made pastas and "No Dough" salads. Because this is LA. Gluten-free pizza and pastas, too. First time restaurateur Alex Ganjian has tapped Gabbay Architects and Greg Bleier's Studio Unltd (Bestia, Food + Lab, Messhall) to conceive an Italian trattoria meets industrial mod meets Sunset Strip rock 'n' roll grunge aesthetic. Check out chef Parker Shaw's (Obika, Joe's) early menu here but note that this is just a sample and his full bill of fare will involve more variety and six to eight pizzas. [EaterWire]
