Adam Fleischman is either totally crazy or a culinary genius. Considering the success of Umami Burger, some might lean more to the culinary genius end, but next up he's opening a chocolate chicken place. For real. ChocoChicken is set to launch in March where Corkbar served for the last five years. The wine bar shuttered for "a minor update" last month according to restaurant staff, but so much for that. Fleischman, along with his AdVantage Restaurant Partners (Keith Previte and Sean Robins), is going for a version of new school fried chicken wherein the chicken's fry batter is infused with chocolate. And no, don't expect anything like mole. House-made biscuits will be on offer as one of many sides. To drink, beer, wine and cocktails from ChocoChicken's full bar.
