Hermosa Beach gastropub The Rockefeller, a comfortable neighborhood place serving beer-friendly elevated pub favorites, soft opened a second location in Manhattan Beach last week and partners Allen Sanford (he also designed the place), Rami Elminoufi, Brian Macias, Omar Elminoufi, Chris Bredesen, and Robert Bogdanovich are planning an official debut tomorrow. Come in rocking board shorts or slacks, all are welcome, this is a bar after all, though one that serves a $17 eight ounce Kobe burger with a glass of Opus One. But, to soak up the beer, international and local crafts, one will find lobster pot pie, fish tacos and truffle mac and cheese, amongst others. Hours of operation will run Monday through Friday from 5 to 11 p.m., with weekend brunch beginning at 11 a.m.
