1) Pasadena: Cousins Maine Lobster, the lobster-slinging food truck turned brick and mortar within Pasadena drinking lounge LIVE MIXX, has shuttered. Per a December 27 Facebook post, "Our Pasadena location has closed, but our food trucks are here to stay! We will also continue to cater your parties, and ship shore to door! Thank you for all your continual support!" [EaterWire]

2) San Diego: About two years ago SBE thought San Diego needed a Katsuya branch, however despite domestic and international brand expansion, the Japanese restaurant within the Andaz Hotel will call it quits tomorrow night. Reps for SBE explain the end as such: "After nearly two years, sbe is discontinuing operations of its Katsuya San Diego location. As sbe continues the expansion of the Katsuya brand nationally and internationally, the company is focusing its resources on the projects that deliver both the highest return and fit its long-term strategic growth objectives. sbe is incredibly thankful for the support of the San Diego community and for the hard work and dedication of the Katsuya team, as well as the team at the Andaz Hotel. Despite the closure, sbe is committed to San Diego and will continue to explore new opportunities for its hotel, restaurant and nightlife brands." [EaterWire]
