This section of Downtown rarely gets any appealing places to eat, but Food Haus Cafe has come to the rescue. Soft open since last week and planning a grand opening this Friday, this comfort food spot takes over an industrial space with exposed brick, a bright space, and clean lines all around. Founded by Harut Sargsyan and Ani Petrosyan, the spot offers familiar bites like a blue cheese burger, truffle fries, steak torta, and French onion soup prepared by chef Steven Velichnian.

Located next to LA Trade Tech and the Superior Court, the place should be a respite for those having to wait for jury duty or pay a traffic ticket. Early Yelpage has been very positive, crediting the fresh flavors and comfortable seating. Hours run 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
