WESTWOOD— Umami Westwood, formerly U-Mini, looks donzo after a reader sent in a photo with chairs stacked up. The space had always been slow and after the previously affording U-Mini switched over the the full priced Umami, it looked like the UCLA college students were no longer biting. Still, here's the official statement from the Umami team: "U-Mini in Westwood was designed to be a lab for us to develop a fast casual burger concept, which we now have open at LAX and will have open soon at Brookfield Place in Downtown New York. U-Mini is closed and we have moved our culinary development team to Umami Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles." [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— Justice Tavern in Little Tokyo, boasting burgers, craft beers, and more with a spacious copper bar, is looking toward a March debut. Helmed by chef Mark Pollard, it should be another nice addition to the already busy neighborhood. [EaterWire]
