Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

The Arts District continues to get the brunt of unique new concepts. Apartment A, a cocktail lab, event space, and drinking den founded by Matthew Landes (Montage), Brandyn Tepper (Hinoki & the Bird), and Max Kestenbaum (41 Ocean), the multi-faceted space operates in an industrial loft designed by Matt Winter, with high ceilings, industrial mill belts, hanging greenery, and comfy seating all around. With a full kitchen and bar, Apartment A will host a variety of monthly classes, like a lesson in whisky on January 25 for $75, or an introduction to rum on February 7.

Other upcoming events include TRAVELocal, a dinner party produced in conjunction with TRUFFL whereupon the cuisine of Mexico will be paired with cocktails. Sign up for classes here. [EaterWire]
