Lion Dance at Hakkasan; Guisados Brews Stumptown

BEVERLY HILLS— From January 29 to February 8, Hakkasan is serving a supplemental Cantonese menu dedicated to Chinese New Year. And for those who fancy dinner and a show, the sleek eatery will showcase a Lion Dance (a ceremonial performance that is supposed to bring good luck) at 8:30 p.m. on January 31. [EaterWire]

EAST SIDE—Tacos + coffee is a thing. In other Guisados news, the Echo Park location started brewing Stumptown coffee as of earlier this month, and management plans to expand its Stumptown service to the Boyle Heights original soon. [Facebook]

AROUND TOWN— There's still time to partake in DineLA restaurant week, and these are Jonathan Gold's top seven restaurants to try: Night + Market, Scarpetta, Scratch Bar, Allumette, Bazaar, Crossroads, and Spago. But here's what Eater recommends. [LAT]
