Roadhouse LA, Mod Barbecue at The Improv February 6

Roadhouse LA, the hotly anticipated modern barbecue restaurant from Umami founder Adam Fleischman and NY chef Robbie Richter (Hill Country, Fatty 'Cue) inside comedy house Hollywood Improv on Melrose, has finally nailed down a February 6 debut. However, it's worthwhile to note that the restaurant could soft open a few days earlier pending final touches.

As a reminder, Richter's fusion barbecue menu, centered on wood-smoked meats, will bear influence from across the globe in dishes like Punjabi Poutine with goat gravy; Royal Jerk Chicken with black eyed peas; and Head of the Day with Texas Chainsaw Toast. And while those plates may sound challenging, Richter has a good amount of barbecue experience from his time spent at Hill Country and Fatty 'Cue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a restaurant frequented for its Southeast-Asian spiked 'cue.

Dave Fernie (Pour Vous, Harvard & Stone) will manage your thirst with a retooled cocktail menu and extra attention to whiskey. While Roadhouse LA is located at The Improv, it will feed guests who attend shows but also function as a separate entity.
