The Six, a winning concept for Jake King and Will Karges first on Pico in West LA and then in Studio City, has been soft open during the evening for the folks in Calabasas since before the holidays. But, as of yesterday, the seasonal American pub-restaurant has officially launched, still focused on dinner service, with lunch to follow in about a week or so.
The Six Calabasas, which replaces Guido's in Old Town, is the biggest restaurant to date, with a bourbon lounge and private lockers for members and staff who want to stow away a fancy bottle or three. There's also two FULL bars, as compared to the other Sixes which pour only beer and wine (although a full 47 is pending for Studio City). David Nepove aka Mr. Mojito is responsible for the six seasonal $9 cocktails here, and original chef David Gussin at The Six on Pico has returned as a consultant on eats from burgers to steak frites to s'mores torte.
Hours of operation will run 11:30 a.m. to midnight daily and weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
