Eat Five Courses at Patina for $85 Thanks to DineLA

As mentioned, dineLA is back January 20 to 31 and to elevate restaurant week in 2014, organizers are introducing a new $85 prix fixe option. The whole point of dineLA restaurant week is to offer reduced price menus at great restaurants around town, which enables Angelenos with less disposable income to try the fancypants places without breaking the bank. So, what's the deal with an $85 tasting menu? That doesn't sound entirely inexpensive for many.

The $85 set list is only offered by six restaurants in the city, those being LA's few remaining fine dining establishments: CUT, Melisse, Patina, Spago, Valentino, and the oft overlooked mar'sel at Terranea Resort out in Palos Verdes. Considering that two courses at some of these places cost upward of $85, all of a sudden five courses for $85 sounds like a solid deal.

Check out the $85 menus and see here the full list of 300+ participating eateries serving lunch for $15, $20 or $25, and dinner for $25, $35 or $45.
