Outfitted with an odd name, The Ladies Gunboat Society at Flores received some heavy acclaim from both Jonathan Gold and Besha Rodell. Chef Brian Dunsmoor and partner Jonathan Strader, who had been running Ladies Gunboat, are packing their bags and heading westward for a new project dubbed The Hatchet Hall. The duo is partnering with Louie and Netty Ryan of Townhouse, with a debut scheduled for March 2015.

At the moment, no word on the finalized location, but it will definitely be somewhere in Venice's vicinity. Just recently, Dunsmoor and Kris Tominaga completely vacated The Hart & The Hunter, leaving the Melrose boutique hotel with Patrick Costa and Evan Colter to helm the kitchen there.

In the meantimes, Ladies Gunboat Society will continue to operate with chef Dave McMillen at the helm.

Note: a previous version of this article stated that Ladies Gunboat Society is now closed - it's sticking around, for now.
