Main Street Santa Monica just can't seem to land more than a small handful of great places. Yes, The Anchor just opened on this stretch and Ramen Jinya is looming on the north side, but Wildflour Pizza has been occupied the southern part for decades (apparently since the mid 1970's).
Toddrickallen reports that Wildflour (no relation to Culver City's WildCraft) is turning into a new wine and beer garden, with a projected opening about 30 days out. According to this ABC report, Mark Verge, owner and founder of Westside Rentals, is behind the operation. Verge is also a main partner in 213 Nightlife, so expect this place be a cut above the average drinking spot occupying Main Street, though the license only permits beer & wine, not the full liquor typical of 213 projects. No word on if Cedd Moses is involved with this new project, which has no name attached to it.
