HOLLYWOOD— Yamashiro and the surrounding land upon which it sits is currently up for sale by a consortium of owners who stem from the original developer. The 7 acre lot doesn't include the adjacent Magic Castle. The deal could potentially spell the end of the iconic hillside restaurant that overlooks Hollywood District below. [Curbed]

WESTWOOD— In commemoration of National Donut Day, Tanzy is putting together a little tasting of Italian bombolini on November 5, with a trio of fresh donuts that includes chocolate rice pudding, lemon zabaglione, and Pink Lady apple cider marmalade for $6.

DOWNTOWN— To add to the Hello Kitty madness surrounding a slew of eateries around town, Chaya Downtown is offering a Hello Kitty sour with an imprint of the famous cartoon from October 31 to November 30. It's made with Plymouth gin, simply syrup, yuzu juice, egg whites and a mist of Aperol. Order away and be sure to Instagram it.
