Gjelina’s Bakery Gjusta Anticipates Baking in Venice Soon

Gjusta, the anticipated bakery from Venice's popular Gjelina, is near completion, with an opening slated for October 13. Located near Abbot Kinney on Sunset Avenue, everything seems to be moving along at the moment.

The mastermind baker behind the space is Nicole Mournian, the General Manager of Gjelina Take-Away.  Additionally, she is a national pie champion, winning four out of seven blue ribbons last year (a difficult feat) at the KCRW Good Food Pie Contest. Examples of Mournian's winning pies were the Blackberry Huckleberry Ginger pie and a savory Pork and Peas pie. She also won for best crust and best-in-show as well.  With someone this passionate about pies leading the way, anticipation of Gjusta's opening continues to grow.

No word on the menu yet, however, Grand Central Market's, G&B Coffee will create the coffee program for the bakery. Developing...
