Mac-O-Licious, A Mac and Cheese Only Eatery Now Serving in Valley Village

Who knew that the childhood snack could go so far?

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Mac-O-Licious is now serving in a rather simple strip mall in Valley Village, with some dozen or so different kinds of mac-and-cheese. In addition, they're offering some toppings like lobster, bacon, hot dogs, cornbread, and even black truffle, though the latter is likely in the form of oil rather than freshly shaved treasures from Perigord. Either way, the casual endeavor is putting some love into a homey childhood snack (and Southern food staple). Grand opened in late September and founded by Kelly Chapman, the show got a little heads start from Restaurant Start Up.
