Berry Bowl Hoping to Offer Acai and Raw Juice to Highland Park on York

York Blvd is getting crowded by the minute.

Here's another sign that York Blvd and Highland Park in general is well on its way toward gentrification: Berry Bowl is opening an acai bowl and juice shop right on the main drag, with most of the interior construction seemingly complete and ready to roll.

Oddly enough, there's no City of LA building permit posted on the window to notify the area of any commercial construction, nor is there any sign that the place has been a part of the permit approval process an eating establishment is normally required to have. Either those notifications have been hidden inside or...they're doing all this construction without any of the necessary permits. Posted on the outside window is a brief preview of the offerings: custom acai bowls and raw, vegan, organic juices.

UpdateThis filing does show that Berry Bowl has the proper building permits despite a lack of report on the window.
