Big Gay Ice Cream Debuts Permapop Soft Serve Upstairs at Ace Hotel

The Ace Hotel has been the epicenter of cool this year (along with The Line in Koreatown), but the Downtown boutique has something new to offer: Big Gay Ice Cream at the Upstairs Bar, reports the LA Times.

Founders Bryan Petroff and Douglas Quint are now offering chocolate, sweet cream, and twist soft serve flavors, with such toppings as rainbow sprinkles, berry sauce, chocolate sprinkles, house granola, and wasabi pea dust. There's even an espresso or booze shot option for those looking for an extra jolt (up or down). NYC-based Big Gay Ice Cream is still building out their brick & mortar a block away, which was hit with various snags from the health department.
