GC Marketplace Hitting Hollywood's Cahuenga Pass With Multi-Faceted Eatery

This sleepy stretch has a new dining destination.

The area between Hollywood and Studio City is usually one that people drive through. Yes, Mexican specialist Mercado recently debuted in this area, but GC Marketplace, from prolific caterer Gary Arabia, will certainly change the culinary environment in a big way when it opens later this week.

Featuring an Eataly or Stir Market-like roving marketplace of artisanal foodstuffs, wood-burning pizzas, sandwiches, cheese, wine, charcuterie, and other house-made specialties, GC Marketplace is looking to be the neighborhood's new dining destination. Also, coffee, pastries, bread, rotisserie items, and a whole lot more.

With a design by Jennifer Charleston, the unique eatery goes into a classic 1930's building that was once Oak-Crest Market whose sign remains in the interior of the marketplace.
