HOLLYWOOD— Groundwork Coffee, which has been serving Hollywood for years as a laptop warrior zone, has completely redone the interior of their Cahuenga shop. With a better experience for both baristas and customers, people can simply walk in a line up. In addition, they're brewing one up at a time using the Curtis Gold Cup, which is more consistent than hand drip.

WEST HOLLYWOOD— Yellowtail's been quite the center for celebrity action, with the likes of Kanye West, Natasha Bedingfield, David Arquette, and Erika Christensen dropping by for some of Akira Back's Asian fusion cuisine. Be sure to dodge the paparazzi when going in.

BEVERLY HILLS— The Bazaar is doing a Glenlivet whisky tasting on December 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. $58 gets you entry, with a slew of classic and limited edition whiskies available for tasting. Sign up online.
