The Spare Room has a been a hit ever since it hit the mezzanine floor at The Roosevelt in Hollywood, but founders Marc Rose and Med Abrous are going back to their hospitality roots with a new restaurant at the bottom floor of The Elysian. Th LA Times reports that the all-day eatery will go into William Perreira's architectural landmark, which touts near-perfect views of Downtown from its perch in Echo Park.

Since user-friendly marketplaces are all the rage these days, the place will also feature a 'general store' of packaged to-go foods, flowers, kitchen goods, and other daily items. Though this location will also tout a full bar program, it won't be quite the nightlife destination that The Spare Room has become over the years. The yet-to-be-named restaurant will have 75 seats.
