Previously LOU Wine Bar and BOSC, this new rendition from Monica Gamboa and chef Michael Martinez is now soft open.

Though it lived quietly as BOSC for a while after LOU closed up shop, the little nook on the corner of Vine just north of Melrose is now dubbed Rose & Vine. Founded by Monica Gamboa and helmed in the kitchen by Michael Martinez, who most recently helped out with the cooking aspects on The Taste with Anthony Bourdain, the eatery has gotten a quick interior refresh and a completely new menu.

Martinez, who also collaborated with the likes of Jonathan Waxman and Marcus Samuelson, is currently only cooking lunch and weekend brunch, offering wine-friendly dishes like black mussels with fennel and white wine to pappardelle with lamb ragu. Brunch service includes a rosemary waffle with fried chicken, short rib benedict, and a pulled pork sandwich. Full menus are available below, with dinner service commencing within a few weeks time.
