Gentrification is in full swing in Highland Park, and on top of a nice cold-pressed juice shop opening down the block, The Eastsider reports that a new wine, beer, and cheese store is headed right smack in the middle of York Blvd next to Bughouse's design and gallery space. At the moment, only hints that such a place are headed to the growing Eastside neighborhood is a Planning Commission application for the beer and wine license, plus a Facebook post from Bughouse's page.
According to the post, the shop will serve "organic charcuterie, cheese, craft beer, and yard games." One wonders if this will also be the kind of thing that might face fake eviction notices from angry residents who are fed up with the gentrification.
