Thanksgiving in Las Vegas; Out with the Old Buffet, In with the New

EXCALIBUR — Forget the SLS Buffet, which shutters Sunday after service to reopen in 2015. Get your mind around the $6 million buffet coming to the Excalibur.

ARIA — Sirio Ristorante, the Italian restaurant from the Maccioni family, closes Dec. 6. Earlier this year, Osteria del Circo from the Maccioni family shuttered at the Bellagio. Le Cirque remains, and for the French restaurant, it’s white truffle season.

CAESARS PALACE — Brian Malarkey plans to open Searsucker in the former Munchbar space next to the new Omnia Nightclub, also opening in 2015. Get details on the menu and decor.

VENETIAN AND PALAZZO — Cake Boss Buddy Valastro found himself arrested after police in New York City spotted him swerving in traffic. The reality TV star was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired, police said.Valastro has Buddy V’s Ristorante at and his wildly popular Carlo’s Bake Shop in Vegas.
