Westwood will always have its share of quick, datey sweets like ice cream, frozen yogurt, and boba tea. And the latter seems to be on the rise after a mild surge in the early aughts (think Boba Loca, et al.) Toddrickallen reports that another concept called Koala Tapioca is opening on the corner of Weyburn and Gayley.

Touting a creative list of boba tapioca teas, plus innovative snacks such as kalbi fries, banh mi, and lemongrass pork skewers. Based on a truck called Koala Tea, the wheels are currently parked in the lot to make way for this brick & mortar, which should be opening in the next week or so.
