Watch Conan O'Brien Taste Coffee At Intelligentsia's Roasting Works in Los Angeles

The late night show host tries to rouse stoic producer and coffee enthusiast Jordan Schlansky

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Specialty coffee is still very much a mystery to most every java drinkers, but Conan O'Brien bravely ventures into the heart of Intelligentsia's roasting works in Los Angeles with associate producer Jordan Schlansky, a self-described coffee aficionado. With Schlandky playing the straight man and Conan trying to create trouble inside the roasting facility, the duo takes on the Probat roaster and attempt to debunk the complex cupping process.

Says O'Brien: "I'm getting coffee on this side of my mouth, over here I'm getting...more coffee, and I'm picking up strong hints of...coffee." Go watch, and laugh along the caffeinated session.
