David Kuo, who almost opened a placed called Assembly in Culver City, is well on his way to debuting a very personal project in his local neighborhood. Dubbed Status Kuo, the 1,000 square foot eatery designed by Design, Bitches is very close to its December 5 debut. With plans to rotisserie everything from suckling pig, lamb, chicken, and prime rib, to pastas, breads, sandwiches, and vegan options galore. It's the kind of casual, grab-and-go place that Mar Vista is just craving.

The born-and-bred Angeleno will also use this as a place to show off some flavors of his Taiwanese upbringing, such as Chinese-style barbecue pork, Peking duck, and more. When it opens, Status Kuo will serve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
