The first ever Crumbs Cupcake shop to open in Los Angeles along the little Santa Monica Blvd stretch of Beverly Hills, is giving way to a new tea bar concept called BasantiToddrickallen reports that the chain is actually based in Monterrey, Mexico, which seems a bit unusual.

The brand offers 35 kinds of loose leaf tea, "exotic fruits" and "indulgent flavors," which might be one of the weirdest ways to describe a tea shop. This LinkedIn job sheet shows that Basanti is an "avant garde" tea bar. Let's hope that nearby Teavana won't be left in the dust.
