PASADENA— The new(ish) dusitD2 Constance hotel has a new $6.26 happy hour that offers cheap bites from 4 to 6:26 p.m. daily. Offerings include beer, wine, and craft cocktails all priced at $6.26, plus dishes like fig & olives, kale/quinoa bruschetta, and smoked shrimp cocktail.

MID-CITY— Bill Esparza of LA Mag ventures to Tacos Tamixwhich makes a mean al pastor trompo on the corner of La Brea and Pico. He recommends trying the mulita, made with said al pastor.

BEVERLY BLVD— Petty Cash Taqueria is offering a free shot of Altos Reposado tequila on November 30 from 12 to 3 p.m. (day drinking, anyone?) to anyone with a mustache to celebrate Movember. If you don't have a mustache, you can still get a shot for $7, the proceeds of which will go to the No Shave November cause, which raises awareness for cancer.
