Gusto's Fall Menu, Smoke.Oil.Salt's Late Night Sandwiches, More!

Vic Casanova's original restaurant switches up the menu just in time for the colder weather.

WEST THIRD— Gusto is offering a new fall-friendly menu with items like butternut squash agnolotti, grilled veal chop with funghi misti, and stracotto braised beef ribs with treviso and white polenta. Vic Casanova's been busy over at Pistola a few blocks down, but that doesn't Gusto doesn't deserve a refresh.

MELROSE— Smoke.Oil.Salt. is adding one more paella to the men: squid ink, available on Sunday Paella nights. It's part of a four-course prix fixe at $49 per person. Also, chef Perfecto Rocher is offering late night sandwiches (one pork, one seafood) for $14 each or $20 with a beer or wine pairing after 10 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and after 10:30 p.m. on weekend evenings.

SANTA MONICA— Pono Burger is offering some new burgers and shakes for the Fall and Winter, including one made with pastrami and raclette cheese. There's a pumpkin shake on hand as well, made with organic pumpkin puree and Strauss soft serve ice cream.
