Check Out the Slick New Renderings for Gardner Junction in Hollywood

Kris Keith's Spacecraft is trying to make railroad chic the next cool design trend.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Farmhouses are so yesterday. Kris Keith of Spacecraft is introducing the old-time railroad thing at his upcoming Gardner Junction at the foot of Runyon Canyon in Hollywood, which makes sense given L.A.'s onetime widespread Red Car street trolley system.

The modern American menu will boast seasonal ingredients, plus craft cocktails on an expansive patio that'll make for prime al fresco dining. Steve Brown helms the kitchen with some dry-aged beef, charcuterie, pickling pastas, and desserts currently in the works. And since the place sits so close to popular hiking spot Runyon Canyon, there's a special "brunch club" that'll work for those wanting to follow their exercise with some healthy bites.
