CULVER CITY— East Borough, which has been serving a variety of Vietnamese comfort dishes since its opening about a year ago, will commence serving pho on November 10. When asked why they finally started serving the classic dish, they replied by saying that customers had been asking for it and after a year of service, decided to serve pho as the weather cooled down. It costs $9 and is available every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SILVER LAKE— Remember that the Eastside Food Festival takes place this weekend at Mack Sennett Studios in Silver Lake. Participating vendors include Black Hogg, Mexicali Taco & Co, El Condor, Pine & Crane, The Oinkster, and more. Among other activities: Food is the New Rock is doing a panel with M83's Morgan Kibby and Stella Mogzawa (Warpaint); local restaurateurs Dustin Lancaster (L&E Oyster Bar), Jessica Koslow (SQIRL), Ari Taymor (Alma) and Craig Thornton (Wolvesmouth) are doing a panel; and Evan Kleiman will be doing a book signing.
