Viet Noodle Bar has filed an ABC license to serve beer & wine at the former Bite Bar & Bakery on Pico, which took over the old Violet restaurant in Santa Monica. The popular Vietnamese restaurant has served pho, banh mi, vermicelli, and other dependable classics in a sleek Atwater Village space for years. There's no word on when the opening will take place, but this seems like an opportunistic moment for a reliable concept to take over a rather sleepy stretch of Pico.
