SANTA MONICA— The Viceroy in Santa Monica is starting a crazy Champagne Atelier (can't call it the Champagne Room, right) just in time for holiday parties whereupon up to 48 guests can have a four-course tasting menu from chef Tony DiSalvo at a price of $155 per person. Champagne pairings, which come with the price, include 2004 Dom Perignon, Moet & Chandon ICE, Veuve Cliquot "Yellow", and Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame 2004. HOLLYWOOD— David Bartnes, who decamped from the now-shuttered b.o.s., is cooking a special $80 tasting menu on December 5 at Madera Kitchen in Hollywood. The menu includes hamachi crudo, charcuterie, duck salad, and ras al hanout oxtail with roasted roots. Book a table here.
WEST THIRD— Large Marge, the pop-up from Courtney McBroom and Leslie Behrens, returns to Son of a Gun on December 14 with a $45 four-course prix fixe, with reservations starting at 11:30 a.m. Call the restaurant at 323-782-9033 to hold a seat.
