Guppy House, which gained notoriety in Cerritos and across SGV with its massive fruit shaved ice, is now open across from the Americana at Brand in Glendale. Along with shaved ice, boba tea drinks, and fruit smoothies, there's also a focused Asian fusion menu that doesn't quite have the expansiveness of the Temple City outlet.

Still, the environs are bright and sports-friendly, though with only 100 some seats the place will likely garner long waits on prime evenings and weekends. The kimchi fried rice is almost better than most Koreatown versions while the massive portions of soups and noodles should kill any hunger pangs.

Open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays, and until 2 a.m. on weekends.
