Wino Mecca Wally’s Vinoteca Opens Today in Beverly Hills, Plans To Expand Around the World

New, 3 comments

Thanks to new ownership, iconic wine shop Wally's will bring their new wine bar and store concept to Beverly Hills and beyond.

So that cute little wine shop that's been a Westwood Boulevard staple for the past twenty years? Well Wally's, known for its iconic green awnings and impressive selection of fine wines, just grew up in a major way.

Recently purchased from its namesake Steve Wallace by Christian Navarro, wine sommelier to the stars, and the Marciano brothers, founders of the mega fashion label Guess, Wally's is about to go global. The first item on the new partners' agenda? Wally's Vinoteca Beverly Hills, opening today on Canon Drive in the former Monsieur Marcel location.

The concept of Wally's Vinoteca is similar to the food hall concept that's been sprouting up around LA. Guests will be able to select from over 100 wines by the glass to pair with simple small plates. Books, wine accessories, and of course a remarkable selection of rare wines will also be available for purchase.

With the ample financial backing of the new owners, the expansion plan is impressive. The Wally's empire will hit Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, and New York, then England, France and Italy.

With Vinoteca staying open until 2 a.m. and a successful e-commerce business, it is now possible to have access to Wally's at any time of the day at nearly anywhere in the world.
