MAIN STREET— The former Omelette Parlor, which is destined to become Bareburger, will live for two months as The Source Cafe at the beach (no relation exactly to that cultic spot in Sunset Strip decades ago). Commenced December 8 and serving until February 8, The focus is on healthy bites like smoked salmon toast, walnut pesto with burrata on baguette, and egg curry salad, along with smoothies, juices, and LAMILL Coffee, the Hermosa Beach transplant should be a nice thing to hit while cruising Main Street this winter. Hours run 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. 2732 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA

SANTA MONICA— Groundwork Coffee will be open on Christmas Day serving some hearty fare for the holiday, including open faced fried egg sandwich and banana Compartes chocolate chip pancakes. Also consider the mascarpone & berries French toast using Pullman walnut raisin bread.

Cowboys & Turbans

SILVER LAKE— Starting January 1, Cowboys & Turbans will be open until 2 a.m. seven days a week, making it one of the better places to burn the midnight oil on the Eastside.
