Taking over the former Olive & Thyme, it's one more excellent lunch spot for studio employees.

Burbank might be the most unsung studio city in America but that doesn't mean that nearby employees and denizens have to settle for lame dining options. Whereas Olive & Thyme moved to larger digs a few blocks down on Riverside, pie and sandwich purveyor simplethings, which already has two locations in Westwood and West Third, has taken over O&T's former digs. Serving a nearly similar array of sweet and savory pies, plus delectable sandwiches, simplethings presents it all in a cutely appointed dining room.

Opened two weeks ago, this location also serves a weekend brunch from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering avocado toast (of course), quinoa & eggs, and breakfast sandwiches. The menu here also states that a Santa Monica location is in the works, which is fine comfort for Westsiders addicted to those sweet pies.
