Santa Monica Rice Ball Factory Sunny Blue Rolling Soon in Culver City

Culver City's restaurant row is starting to get packed with new eateries.

Toddrickallen reports that Sunny Blue, that popular Japanese onigiri spot with a location on Main Street Santa Monica, is close to opening on ever-crowded Washington Blvd in Culver City. With most of the interior construction complete and a hiring sign on the window, it's only a matter of time before the rice ball purveyor debuts on what might be the most compelling restaurant row in this part of town. In addition to rice balls, Sunny Blue plans to offer salads, noodles and even fro-yo (that trend will never die).

Remember that Waterloo & City is wrapping up operations soon to make way for Brian Dunsmoor's The Hatchet Hall. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, Roy Choi hinted that he was going to re-jigger A-Frame in the new year to give it even more of a Hawaiian island flair.
