Malibu will gain a BurgerFi next year, a healthy burger concept similar to a classic burger stand from the 1950s and 1960s. With locations spread across the U.S., the eatery is the fastest growing all-natural burger franchise in the country and is coming to the Malibu Lumber Yard tentatively in the Spring.
This fast-casual spot offers a variety of specialty items like the Wagyu Kobe beef hot dogs, Brisket Burgers or for vegetarians the VegeFi Burger which consists of quinoa, white cheddar lettuce, tomato and their specialty sauce. In addition, options include gourmet toppings, frozen custards, natural-cane sugar sodas, hand cut fries, onion rings, wine and craft beers.
Why will BurgerFi work in Malibu? Because they use all-natural Angus beef that is grass fed, humanely raised, sustainably farmed and 100% antibiotic and hormone free, very important aspects for Malibu residents and the health conscious.
Finally, BurgerFi strives to be a "green" establishment that integrates environmentally sustainable materials. Examples include chairs made from recycled Coke bottles, tables made of compressed recycled wood and large fans that use 66% less electricity. BurgerFi is making its way to California with a location in Napa and others in development including Thousand Oaks and greater LA.
