Copenhagen Pastry Slings Danish Sweets to Pasadena

The Culver City bakery now has a 626 outlet.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Copenhagen Pastry quietly opened on Colorado Blvd this past Thanksgiving, much to the delight of Pasadena residents looking for that perfect, buttery Danish. Founded by Karen Hansen, the facade of the building looks nearly identical to its Westerly sibling, offering a similar mix of kringles, coffee bread, poppyseed breads, Christmas cookies, and more delectable treats. Open just in time for the winter rush, the grab-and-go baked goods are the ideal thing to take to holiday parties. Hours run 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
