Yesterday, Eater SF reported that Canadian chain Smoke's Poutinerie, which specializes in Canada's most famous gravy fries, would be opening its first American outlet in Berkeley. Today, Eater LA receives word that the second spot will land right in Hollywood on the corner of Sunset & Vine, a dining block already chock full of eateries like The Melt, Tender Greens, and ShopHouse.

Founder Ryan Smolkin has already opened dozens of locations across Canada, with takeout boxes ranging from $5 to $12, making it an ideal drunken snack. Toppings like pulled pork, bacon, spicy Sriracha chicken, and even veggie gravy lace the fat-laden fries. As many as five franchises are planned in Northern California. This Hollywood one is scheduled to open in early 2015.
